Alaska driver’s ed covers all of the skills needed as a new driver.
This can include both classroom learning and on-the-road driving
practice. Some of the things you’ll cover include:
- Starting the vehicle, using the brake, and using the
accelerator
- Parking (normal conditions, backing into a spot, parking on a hill,
and parallel parking)
- Traffic signs and signals
- Driving in adverse conditions and at night
If you take an Alaska defensive driving course, you’ll also cover
additional skills. These include drinking and driving, road rage,
reckless driving laws, and other important driving information.
